Project Brief

The catalyst for Color Crush began with the prompt to repackage a dollar store item in order to make it more sustainable. While product-hunting, I happened upon a set of nail polish that was not only severely overpackaged, but presented a possible safety hazard to children attempting to open the package by themselves.

Having identified the perfect product to repackage, I brainstormed possible concepts, eventually deciding on a reusable pouch that could double as a pencil case, and since nail polish is such a hit at sleepovers, why not have the package resemble a sleeping bag?
